Over the years, Reachfield has gained domain knowledge and built a series of databases for National Archives of Singapore based on their proven workflow and processes. Archival information in the form of documents, pictures, audio and video are annotated with meta-data has been stored in these databases. ARCS is a web based application written in Java adopting the J2EE framework and relational database as the information database.

ARCS is robust and scalable due to the adoption of J2EE framework. Using open technologies such as Java and XML, it is hardware independent and operating system independent.
